Worldwide GPS travel logger

Hi. I am looking to record our journeys via a GPS logger. unfortunately I am a bit lazy at updating our records so I am looking for a device that I can leave , connected to a power source permanently, in the vehicle that drops gps breadcrumbs constantly . Then when I have a spare moment I can retrieve the data and transpose it on to google maps for blogging purposes. I know there are apps on phones and sat navs but I was looking for a device that would work worldwide and that I can plug in and forget about it .
If anyone has any ideas then I would be very interested. Dont really want to spend a fortune .

Just look for a vehicle tracker. There are lots of them that do not require a subscription. You just connect them to your battery and can download the data when you see fit. Most are around $150.00-$200.00
