The 1017a comes with 3 seats in the front. All have diagonal standard seat belts.
The middle seat is full size and does not interfere with gear changes.
However,the leg room in the middle seat is less and as said it could interfere with a crawl through,although it will fold flat.

I have removed ours and replaced it with a storage box

The one we have in mind is just a two seater in the front and 6 seater at the rear. The idea is to have our little one in a seat between us and storage at the rear. Further down the road, the rear would have more seating for a total of 4.

Are you planning on carrying 4 extra pax, or just planning to utilise the space for storage? If its just for storage, crew cabs don't make the best storage units.. You'd be better with a single cab and a full height rear locker (like Dragoman Trucks).. Spudboy runs a Crewcab/Docka MAN, and now is looking to go to a single cab as the second row of seats is never used.. I'm aiming for 18' or 5.5m long body that's 2.4 to 2.5 wide, and no more than 2.0 to 2.2 m tall. The sides will taper in slightly from about a meter up from the box base. So many have commented on weight.. and to be mindful of this even on the 10 and 12 tonners. Following this thread and your future build with interest!
