Ifs not a green oval thing though.
5000 miles a year is 416 miles per calander month. Or 96.15 per week of the year.
Did that not seem rather low?
In the past year my truck was used only for off-road traveling, 2-4 days at time.
The yearly KM was 7000km, or about 4500miles.

So the amount of travel is less important then the challenge the vehicle encounter.

I don't own LR but my travel companions for years has/had different LR: defenders, Disco3/4.
So I can say for sure the reliability comparison is relevant.

Yes, with no dought, the disco are more comfortable then my truck, but in exchange, they have much more technical issues and faults.
Even when I deduct the small gizmos that don't get them Stuck.

As one of my LR3 owner friends said:
"There is something faulty On any given moment with this cars", but still, he wouldn't replace it.
Or as his support words for another LR owner in our group (after a major expanse due to another failure: "you've finally reached the moment when a LR owner wants to paint it blue, toss it into the sea, and burn it, maybe not in the exact order, but know this- it will make stronger for the future.."
