Mounting Alu-Box to Baja Rack

I'm going to pick up an Alu-Box ABS56 to mount to my Baja Rack.

I'm wondering what the consensus is for securing it permanently.

Conventional thought would be to drill holes and use u-bolts....not sure if this would weaken the botttom skin enough to cause premature failure(s).

Thoughts?

How about using a thicker strip of aluminum on the inside, drill through it and the secure with U bolts...that way you are distributing the load across the strip versus a nut/washer against the skin. Could even add some rubber grommets that mash/seal when you mount it.

Good idea. Thanks.
