does a 3.5 DOHC fit in a gen 1?

back of the envelope scratching i should be able to get 240 out of a 3.0 with single turbo. on megasquirt

lessee minivan exhaust manifolds turned around and upended, turbo in front, a minivan intake, with front pointing throttle body a laminova heat exchanger, rework the injection system, scratch my ***, take 6 months to do it and blow a lower end or two, the 3.5 seems more intriguing all the time. but my 3.0 now with minivan cams, with little tires is pretty peppy all things considered.

i do not see the vr4 tt motor fitting in this montero. i saw a fellow do it but never knew if it ran or not.

Finally, someone who gets what I've been preaching! I want to put 225/70R-15's on my '87 (see signature) and see what it can do. I have an old set of 235/60-15's, but they'll just be good for burnouts here in front of the house since they're ten years old now...at least they're mounted and ready, heh heh...
