    Default Ride on top rental.

My son and his GF rented a ride on top kayak at Tahoe yseterday. It sounds like they had a blast. So much so my wife and I are thinking of doing the same.

Any tips other than use lots of SPF40?

Except you'll want to substitue your favorite adult beverage and plenty of drinking H2O.

If you're just looking to rent for now, try out different ones. Don't buy right away until you find just the right one.

If you ever get serious about it, don't discount the benefit of a high quality paddle.

    Have fun!

Not even considering a purchase. We just want to go paddle around in the lake for a day. If we like we may change our mind but I'd have to look at the rent vs buy cost break pretty close. Summer is short up here and we already have a lot of activities we enjoy.

I just continually borrow my friend's sit-on-top kayak; I've borrowed it over a dozen times and he hasn't used it once since. He's happy that the kayak gets used at least (to my benefit of course).

I've contemplated buying a kayak, but I don't think I'll go enough times to get my money's worth. It would help if my other friends would get in on it and buy one too.

The last kayaking event I planned, I had 26 people show up (many unexpectedly). We cleaned out the last of the kayaks for rental.
