Default FS: 1978 FJ40 Land Cruiser (Louisiana)

Unfortunately, I was just forced to resign from my job. I am looking to sell my 1978 FJ40 project that didnt even get really started.

The body is in OK shape, but has rust. I have removed most of the rust and primed, with the intention of repairing the holes. The rust is in the typical spots. Frame is in excellent shape.

Motor. The motor threw a rod, shortly before I bought it. The owner used the vehicle as his daily driver until it broke down, not even 6 months ago. I have a replacement motor that is included in the sale.

You can see the rust spots that have been worked on. Some bondo has been applied to pitted, but not rusted through areas.

The vehicle was almost entirely stock and all parts are included as well as the additional parts purchased for upgrading/replacement.

I am asking $2600 which is less than what I have invested in the vehicle.

Email me, glowingreen01nf@aol.com or call 318-794-3362
Cruiser is located near Alexandria, Louisiana.

Sorry to hear about the job...maybe it's a sign that you need to budget build that 40 and go to Mexico ASAP!

Make sure you post it on www.IH8MUD.com

At that price, it won't last long at all!

Thanks for the comments guys... its a toss up right now if I still have my job or not....

You see, I am/was the apartment manager for the apartments that I live at... which is a part of my university. I was told not to store my motorcycles in a vacant apartment, right? Well, the fire marshall came today when had I just put a motorbike in there yesterday to do some work, and we got written up. So my boss asked me to resign, instead of fire me... Well, she came by a few minutes ago to talk and told me to come back to work tomorrow.

But, with all things considered, working conditions arent that great (nor do I respect my boss/higher ups much) and the living conditions are minimal... we spent 2 weeks cleaning/painting/ fixing the apartment we live in before we moved in... which is one reason I have my job now. Well we are still looking to move, and depending on the place, we still might. And the place depends on whether or not I do go ahead and sell the cruiser.

But if someone gives me the $2600 right now... I'll take it.

I'll take payments until its paid off and then you'll get it in your driveway.

The extra engine is in running, but sitting, condition. It ran before we pulled it.
