    Default Adam's 2005 Frontier

    hello all,

My name is Adam and i live in Orange, CA. I am 23 years of age and come from a family line of explorer's and off-roaders. everything from Land Rovers to Samurai's to now my own legacy. My frontier.

I purchased my truck mid last year and have found this truck to be a great addition to my family. I may be young but im actually a 50 yr old trapped in a 23 year old body hah. Every day i get into this truck it's like driving it for the first time. You don't get that with many cars/trucks.

Only con that i have for this truck is that there are so little aftermarket parts for it. As you know the artic guys have their D40's and their own aftermarket selections. But the US is falling behind.

I hope to learn and share my experiences with all of you and hopefully one of these days I can meet some of you. I chose this forum because I got burnt out with all the younger crowd types and more street oriented forums. I hope i've found my calling here and hope to learn even more from you all.

    Hi Adam. Thanks for sharing.

Now that you're here . . . fellas, close the doors and pass out the special ExPo Kool Aid. Adam shall get on the distinguished road of desire for Engel fridges and roof top tents soon. Just kidding.

    I look forward to more!

    i need an adult *scared*

Well once i get my 2400 credit card paid off i'll be sure to place an order over at Kennesaw and get my roof rack welded up.

I helped a friend of mine paint his car and detail it. so in return he's gonna weld me a bed frame and i'll probably add a bed frame to roof rack combo while we're welding. Should be an interesting ride.

    Thanks for looking.

    Sure,

I've got it mounted on the right (passenger) side of the console. Dont have the transmitter screwed to anything just lay it around.

Have my external speaker you see in the pic, it's now moved to the bottom change tray area. and my HAm radio is on top.

As far as my antenna. The wilson 1000 requires drilling of a 1/4" whole in your roof. Instead of taking out all my interior roofing, i popped off the interior light above the rear seats and just drilled a whole there. ran the coax throught the side plastic console then under the seats into the CB.

One thing I did, that most people dont do often.

I have only one posotive and negative feed from the battery for both my CB and HAM. but what i did was put quick connectors on the power cables so i can switch off for when im off-roading, or want to HAM. I know its the lazy way. But i dont use both at the same time so it was cool.

These are just some crappy ms paint drawing, but some idea's for my bed:

The silver part in this picture - would be for RHINO LINING the flares and sides, and the green backing is a soft top rather than hard top.

im still throwing around idea's. I do love the overhead tent's and all, but im still undecided on weather or not im planning on taking out my back seats for some concauction. (sp?)

possibly, taking the back seats out, putting the equipment with cabinets there that slide out when opening the back door. and leaving the bed for tools, heavy stuff and parts. then the tent on the top?

I can do this stuff for hours. we'll see

Welcome to ExPo! Interesting concepts. I like the second one but then again I'm kinda biased. That's almost what Stormtrooper looks like now. Except white.
