    Default Jk Roof Weight

    anyone know how much weight a jk unlimited hardtop could take thinking of moulding in a roof top tent like a autohome model of some type w/access from inside ur thoughts

    Its fiberglass. I wouldn't drill any holes in it. It has "rain gutters" that you can get a thule to attatch to, but I wouldn't put much more than a couple hundred lbs on it.

    i wouldnīt even dare to do that...

    but when your going through the hassle of moulding a roof tent (great idea - i thought about that just theoretically - but i think itīs a bit too short)
    i would just build an aluminum frame to carry the extra weight and make it more rigid...

    It's pretty lightweight, I threw a Thule gutter rack on last year to carry my snowboard but I wasn't completely comfortable with that.

    Default low profile

    want to keep roof top tent low as possible , make a access hole from inside like element e-camper thats the idea any help/ideas would be appreciated
