    Default Odd electrical issue

So here is my problem. I have a 98 Jeep TJ and when I toggle my left blinker lever all the way down my blinker indicator is normal inside, but my hazards are on outside. Also, when I hit the brake in this mode they stop flashing. The only time it works correctly is when I toggle the left blinker lever in the half position. How would I go about looking for the problem?

A similar problem in my WJ was not solved by replacing the multifunction switch.

It was, however, remedied by replacing the electronic flasher unit. Good luck!

Did a search and the multifunction switch seems to be a common problem. Thanks for your help.
