    Default Loaded YJ

Hello All! I just like to start by saying that finding this Expedition community on the web has really got me excited about what I'm doing, again! I never realized how many folks shared in this passion. Well enough of me babbling, let's show you the YJ!

    The List:
    - '91 Jeep Wrangler YJ...originally 4.0L, 5 speed.
    - '95 Chevy TBI 5.7L
    - NV4500
    - Atlas II Transfer case
    - Currie Hi 9s (front and rear) with ARBs
    - Currie Anti-Rock Sway Bars (Front and Rear)
    - Kilby on board air
    - Northwest Dual Battery kit
    - Dual Optima blue tops
    - ARB Snorkel
    - Smitty Built RC seats with Master Craft harnesses
    - Tuffy TJ console...with hand e-brake
    - Full 1.75" x .120" wall DOM cage

The list keeps going, but how about some pics instead. BTW, this isn't my Jeep. I'm building it for a customer of mine that wants it set up to roam the western US deserts.

TJ center console with custom base I made to mount to YJ floor and it uses and XJ e-brake lever.

Air tank under drivers side floor

Air manifold and pressure regulator to drop the pressure down for the ARBs, but keeps the pressure up in the tank for air tools.

Rear Sway bar, that also doubles as the rear shock mount.

Front Sway bar is a TJ set up. I just turned down the bushings, bent the links, and welded on some mounts to the axle.

Warn steering box skid plate and I redid to clear a steering box brace.

You can see most of the steering box brace in this pic. This is why the skid had to be modified. Also, you can see some of the parts for the Lee hydraulic assist power steering.

Love the level of detail design and tweaking that went into this machine.

Gorgeous work. But its way too clean. Get that thing dirty.

Better yet... You shouldn't bother yourself with getting it dirty. You are a busy man. You should let me get it dirty for you. I can provide this service free of charge.

Thank you all for the compliments. Yes, a YJ with a 5.7 is going to be very fun! As for it being really clean, the owner is very particular with all his vehicles...you could eat off everything he owns! Just to give you an idea, when the Jeep leaves here it will have the interior Line-Xed and the Exterior repainted. I'm just happy that he really likes the work that I've done. I was able to rewire the whole thing and use the stock fuse block and power distribution box. There is no wiring just "hangin out" under the hood!

What suspension is that, I noticed the coil conversion ?
A bad day exploring is better than a good day at work !

    94 YJ, 2.5" suspension, 1" shackle, 1" body, 33" BFG KM2's and a 6cyl HO engine swap turning 4:10 gears (SOLD)

That is the Pro Comp YJ coil conversion kit. This is the first one I've seen in person! I've heard pros and cons of the kit, so I'm curious to see how it works. It's pretty hard to beat a spring over YJ though, as far as simple lifts that flex go!

    Hello,
I love the attention to detail and what appears to be very high quality work put into your customers jeep. Looking at your link at the bottom of the page...you have an impressive resume! Custom fabrication, finish work, electrical and superchargers seem like you have it all covered. You may be just the type of shop I'm looking for.
    - Where are you at...San Luis or Las Vegas? I'm in So. Cal. and if your interested, I'd like to talk to you about my project. I'm building a '96 Dodge Ram (Cummins 12 valve). I've got a long list of upgrades but most of what I find on the shelf I would not be happy with. I'm looking for top quality work and nothing less. Everything from winch bumpers front and rear, better handling suspension, lighting, interior fiberglass consoles etc. (pretty much everything you have done aparently).
Let me know how far out your work is and shoot me a PM and I'll give you the details. I look forward to hearing from you.

    -Prospector
(P.S. - that jeep needs a 4-BT Cummins diesel in it!!)

Thank you for the compliments! I've been very lucky as to who I've been able to work for and what I've been taught/learned. You're project sounds very interesting...I've been looking at doing a 12 valve for myself too. You're list sounds fun and challenging and I look forward to getting the details (PM shot) of what all you're looking for.

Yes, the YJ does need a diesel. I'm actually looking into the Mopar Diesel swap the they are doing for TJ's. I think a 4BT would be a much more simple engine to do and therefor better for going remote places....that whole "one wire for it to run" thing is hard to beat! I'm just trying to see all the options though. I'm hoping to get the opportunity to do diesel conversions at my new place in Vegas, we'll see if the demand is there.
