I've been reading up on diesel Troopers and Dodge Raiders and Mitsubishi trucks lately. Didn't realize that Troopers had a factory diesel in '86 & '87.

I really like the look of those short wheelbase Raiders. Here's a link to a highly modified Raider that sees a lot of time in Ensenada -

I've also been following an excellent blog about swapping a 4 cylinder gas donk (love Aussie slang!) out of a '88 Trooper for an Isuzu 4JB1-TC, 2.8 turbo diesel. Fun stuff with lots of links, photos and documentation of how import one of these drivetrains from Japan.

Sounds like the old factory US Diesels from Troopers are highly sought after by biofuel makers. Should be fun to watch in the coming years!
