I tried to check out a few dealers in Switzerland last week, but my wife was going to kill me if we stopped...

It was new for 07 (probably called model year 08) onwards in the UK! 'Box is from a Ford Transit, along with the 2.5 litre turbo-diesel Ford Transit engine, and a dash similar to a Disco 3 / LR 3.
We dub it the Transfender (Or maybe the Defensit?)

not sure if I qualify as a Rover purist, yet, my big disappointment with the change was ceasing of Defender manufacturing in Brasil.
hopefully TaTa will see the benefit of producing in S.A. and start up the plant again.
personally I like the prior style better, however, I also like the 300Tdi engine better as well.

What part of Greece are you in? Are they letting you test one out? That would be cool to see some overland Greece pics. I know in the northern area where I am from there are some great places/trails to check out. My cousin works as a police man and border patrol and he travels the mountains in a 4x4 90% of the time that he is on duty.
