Would you have to remove the whole Tiregate to remove the camper?

That tiregate just slips into the receiver hitch, so just take it off and then take the camper off.
I'm looking at the possibility of getting a contractors truck cap with the two barn doors and whatnot, so I think I'm either going to have to take a receiver hitch unit like this, or shell out the big bucks for an aluminess, or learn to weld.
Lets leave all our crap where it is and go live in the woods.

It is easy to take out, The tire needs to be removed unless you are the strongest mo fo in the world. Slides in the receiver very easy.
I like that tire gate. What size tire will it carry?
This is from the Great Western Trail ride yesterday.

Long wheel base, front locker, aired down tires and 8,000lbs can do wonders.
This pic was from the Overland Rally in VT last year. Pouring rain, mud and slippery rocks. The Excursion was unstoppable. Any Defenders, Range Rovers or Discos that didn't air down could not make the muddy hill climb. Many vehicles got the strap that day.
Been running the tirgate VT on my Dodge for about a year now. No issues to date.
