The ladder rack will be multi use with diamond plate removable top sections and canvas removable/zip up sides
Roof top tent, and set up for bed in the... bed, etc.

I've had Jeeps for my adventure vehicles previously, trying something different, and a bit bigger.

That is a nice looking truck. The OBS trucks are really starting to grow on me. One of those might have to be my next pickup. Probably a longbed single cab F350 SRW with a 460 and 5 speed.

Love your truck! I sold a much newer truck so I could buy mine. I figured since I'd always wanted one why not drive one? Seemed weird to go backward in years but I couldn't be happier with my decision and my wife said i couldn't have another truck without selling one. Those trucks were tanks! I'd sure love to see a build thread as well. Good luck and good wrenching!

Long Time stalker and first post. Here is my rig. It has been down to the bottom of the Grand Canyon as well as the tops of the San Juans. She is currently rockin a camper shell which has a sleeping platform built over the spare tire and recovery gear.

If you can keep your foot out of it, that motor / trans combo is great. I had a 96 F250 supercab shortbed with that combo, and it got noticeably better fuel economy than the 96 F150 reg cab shortbed with 300 and auto I had at the same time. Both were on 33s.

Those 300's seem to vary widely on their fuel mileage from truck to truck though. I had one in a 77 F150 with a t18 and got far worse mileage than my boss got in his late 70's bronco with an auto. Both had 31's and my truck was way better maintained and tuned up.
