How funny you say that. Knock on wood but if my FZJ80 ever gets hit in an accident and totalled for some reason, I think I'll build an FJ80 as the replacement expedition platform :sombrero:

Nonetheless I do truly believe that the 80 series was Toyota's pinnacle of off-road machines.

Eh, the only reason I say that is that I have a company truck that I use as a daily driver. If I had to use my own rig for a daily driver, I think I'd prefer something with less miles, a bit newer, and with better power/economy. For a dedicated adventure machine though, the FJ is perfect. Another solution I've considered is just getting a set of "street" tires for the FJ. That might make enough of a difference.
