Coleman Fold n Go is 10,000 btu's per burner. Not 5,000. As I mentioned, in our experience it has been rock solid and very reliable.

PerfectFlow™ pressure control system
InstaStart™ system ensures dependable lighting without matches.
20,000BTUs in 2 powerful high-performance burners
Extra-large cooking grates fit 12" pots.
Cooking grates and regulator stow inside for transporting.
Compact
Easy to clean, heavy-duty nickel chrome grate
Uses standard 16.4oz propane cylinder (propane sold separately; Coleman propane recommended)
Lightweight and portable - weighs 4.5lbs
13"W x 13"H x 5-1/2"D

I'm going to have to strongly disagree with this one. This stove suffers from a combinations of flaws: grill too far above the flame and no windscreen. On a windy day at the beach (temp around 50 degrees), I was unable to cook my food at all with this stove. I encountered several times where moderate weather conditions rendered this stove inoperable, even in the shelter of a covered picnic table area at a campground. I'd offer to give it away but I want to keep it for a future review.

ended up taking it back. after the first few lights we could never get it to light again without match. also the fitment was so poor that the lid still kept getting wedged on to it so you had to bang it a couple times with your hand to get it open. overall just seemed like for the money a plain old coleman would be a better bet. oh well...

This is what I have been using since aborting the awful Coleman referenced in my post above. I agree with some of the observations: quality seems marginal, starters are difficult to use and unreliable. However, this stove does get my food hot which is an improvement over other models I have tried.

I just got a Partner today. Build quality is excellent. Can't wait to use it.

I'm in the same boat. I don't want to end up throwing away those cans, but I'm not ready to start toting around a large propane cylinder.

Thinking of converting to exhaust pipe cooking! :chef:

I hope they keep the exhaust separate from the burger... Exhaust from a car is toxic due to the fuel additives, and diesel exhaust is a known carcinogen.

About the only parts of the old Coleman stoves that needed periodic replacement were the leather seals of the gas tank pressurizing pump. Oh, and the generator, which can get clogged with fuel gunk. Those repair parts are commonly available.

Soak the generator in carburetor cleaner and use a pipe cleaner brush on it. I have yet to replace that part on a stove that has seen lots and lots of use.

I have the 2 burner Century and it works great.
But, if you are cooking for a group, you may want to consider a large propane burner and wok. With a family of 6, it's how I cook 90% of our main dishes. Most of the time, I do it all with just the wok. I have a 60K btu burner and a 36" wok.:smileeek: When it comes to cooking for our group it's the best thing I've tried.

Stir fry on the trail is wonderful. I got some real envious looks when I whipped up some stir fry with fried rice at the parking lot at the top of the Beartooth Pass.:D I use a 12" non-stick Calphalon wok with my MSR stove. Excellent for 1-2 person meals. I really should make a ring for supporting it better. I have to hold on to the handle well when stirring. The little pot support wires like to fold up under vigorous stirring.

Mark, that is very similar to the very first Coleman stove I had.
My father gave it to me around 1980, and it was his fathers.
Not sure when it was made.

We ended up having to get a red tank for it later, as the gold one was damaged.

Bought a NEW coleman white gas stove two years ago. Not even the same thing as the one I used all the time 10 years ago. More or less junk.

I still use the same Coleman stove two burner stove that my dad picked up in 1972, and HE bought it used at a yard sale for a few bucks. I put a new seal on the plunger a few years ago. That's it.
