    http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.jsp?car_id=246295574

1997 Land Rover Discovery Series I
    63K miles, 5 speed manual
navy blue over tan, looks very clean in the photos
    dealer is asking $8600
    located near Winston-Salem, NC

I think this is the base SD model (no sunroof, no driving lights, no leather interior)
KBB says suggested retail for similar Disco in excellent condition is $4800

    Great find!

Probably suffers from a bit of rust, given the east coast location.

It almost never ever snows. Even when it does, most towns do not have snow removal equipment. The normal response is wait for it to melt. Everything closes on even a rumor of snow.

Bought my 99 FG from inland NC and my 1979 Mercedes W116 300SD. No evidence of rust on either.

Absolutely correct... I lived in Winston-Salem for 15 years. I think I saw salt maybe twice

I lived next door in Greensboro for 18 years. I don't know about salt, but I recall a lot of snow as a kid in the 70's & early 80's. I guess that was before global warming...

I also recall like Bob mentioned, as soon as the weatherman mentioned the word "snow", you couldn't find a gallon of milk or roll of toilet paper on any grocery store shelf in town. What a wonderful place. Man, sometimes I really I miss NC.

HAHA! I know exactly what you mean! I just moved away from NC 6 months ago and I already miss it...
