Default Dog races 2006 Baja 500

Did any of you happen to see this?

Pat Chicas at ORC took this pic, of a dog racing a bike at the start of the Baja 500 race...

The number on the bike is 608X. A quick look at the SCORE race results shows that 608X Mike Schelin registered times at all CP's and FINISHED the race with a time of 17:49:36 I wonder if the dog rode the whole way???

More cool pics of the man & his best friend here (photos by Mike Hobbs, ORC)

    Ha, that is great.

If I tried that with Yukon it would seriously throw off the COG...

Yes, there have been several stories about the pair. The dog didn't accompany the rider for the entire race but I believe did ride a couple of 'legs' (pun definitely intended).

That would be like riding 2-up. Would Yukon even FIT on a bike?!?!

Now that's just plain mean Scott would probably be better of with and old military side car for Yukon.
