    Default Another bed project

Been working on this bed set up. The idea was to go with a lower center of gravity, light weight, and functional for overland travel as well as trail wheeling/ DD. It's a way's from being finished, it still needs mechanism for mounting the RTT, hold downs for the water tank, sliders and roll bar................

    The progress so far:

That is the exact tire carrier set up I need on my Tacoma. Hmmmm, time to start building!

Question on the tire carrier, where did you source all the hardware?

The spindle and latch set up is 4x4LABS and it handles the 37" tire with no jiggle. I could hook 2 jerry cans on as well with no issues, it's over kill for the amount of weight.
