If anyone is interested, ATW has developed these "Travel Discs". 495mm diameter with a 75mm wide foot. Steel construction with a canvas bag for each.....FUSO or Isuzu 6 stud wheel pattern. Zero offset.

The discs are designed to drop the height of a Fuso or Isuzu motorhome to allow shipping in a container. They may only be required on the rear axle as there is usually plenty of clearance above the truck cab roof even with raised suspension and 36' tyres. I'll post some more pics of one of our Global Warrior motorhomes backing up into a container to show clearances.

Most definitely interested, raised my roof a bit after you told me about these. Some time next year will pick up a set, way too many expenses right now.

As mentioned privately, best of luck with the new teaching job. I'm sure you'll do very well at it

Hey Pete...thanks mate. I'm surprised you haven't had to take a second job to pay your kids food bill. Are they still growing boys??? Haha. Best wishes to the family for Chrissy.[/QUOTE]

Lol lol yes the boys are still growing ,no second job yet but we do have a pretty good veggie patch.
Thank you,.

These have been a long time coming......seems so long ago when the boys paid for the new moulds but as you can imagine there is quite a lot of development involved . They are the new 19.5' x 8.25 alloys......about 15 kg lighter than the equivalent 19.5" steel and come with proper wheel nuts to suit the thick alloy centers. Available in six stud with different offsets to allow either Isuzu NPS or Fuso FG single wheel conversions with matched front and rear track.

Regards John.

Haha. Nah...it had more to do with QA issues on some earlier batches of steel wheels so an alloy alternative was always going to be needed in the catalogue. As far as I know, the steel wheels will continue to be offered particularly for the really heavy duty applications like the beach buses and mining vehicles. Don't know much more than that. I haven't actually seen them yet...still buried at school. I believe the first production batch will be ready at the end of the month.

BTW They are only available in 19.5" of course.

Kind regards
John.

I hope to get over to ATW at the end of the week and take some pics. There has been plenty of action down there that I've missed with a batch of commercial Sprinter motorhomes being built for military convoy escorts, some new school buses on NPS chassis and a couple more NPS Global Warriors under construction.

John failed to mention that these rims are rated at 3000Kg each, so they are legal for the maximum GVM of the Fuso and Isuzu trucks. :)

Interesting! Those wheels look great - are they DOT rated for those of us here in the U.S.A.?

I could almost certainly say that would be the case. I hope to get down to ATW in a couple of days and I will confirm this then.

Regards John.

Well I gotta say we are all lucky to have many options now as opposed to when I was doing my build where we had, lets see.....um...............almost no options!
