Home Built trailer photos????

I'm thinking of starting a new project and I'm looking for ideas. I really like the Adventure Trailer, but it's not in the budget.
Has anyone had any luck using truck boxes from Weathertech or Jobox?
I have a friend that owes me a favor so he's going to build the frame. I need to figure out what box to put on top, etc.
I've looked over the different threads, but most are 416's, pop-ups and AT's.

Any home built Adventure Trailer copies?

thanks

mmmm a quick search in the trailer section should bring you fruits

none of them exactly "Copies" but built with ideas gleamed from many fabricators......inspiration is a good word for it

Thanks for the links.
You did a great job on your build.

And you're right..."copy" isn't the correct word, I'm looking for inspiration and new idea's.

I bought this trailer as a kit called a Packmule from a welder in Marysville some 18 years ago. It's been a constant evolution since. All tolled I've probably got about $4,000.00 or so in it and almost half of that was the tent. The tent I bought from Mario at AT and we love it. There are 14 gallons of water in the white plastic tank. I clamped the top lid shut and built a sliding floor to pull all the gear out the back. I can't say there was ever a master plan, just a collection of ideas, notes and sketches I've made through the years. It's a lot more fun than just writing a check to a company and having them hand me a trailer.

ive thought about those jobsite boxes also, but they are heavy and expensive. for ready made boxes you could adapt to a trailer i think tool boxes made for commmercial trucks would be better, and lighter. underbody boxes facing foward and backwards with side mount toolboxes over fender would be cool.. if you can find them all matching and not polished diamond plate (yuk)

Ammo box is the way I went.

Nice Trailer, did you do the suspension, or did it come that way? I'm looking at doing something similar, however, I'm starting from scratch. Here are some of my ideas.

Note that the angled air spring will reduce it's effective spring rate. The more upright that it can be placed the more linear the air pressure to spring rate (& ride height) it will be. This is the same issue as shocks mounted at an angle and there are many rock crawler threads on that topic.
