Interestingly enough, I neglected to photograph much of the image of my only incident. Hubris made me take the wrong line through a seemingly simple obstacle because, well, I drive a bad-MMM jeep!


But I did get to play with my new winch!


Surprisingly, the "side steps" made of exhaust tubing not only held up well, but did protect the body of the truck. Eventually I will get real sliders, but I was happy with the PO at that moment for his trashy ghetto-mod.

who is the owner of that stuck 4runner? i think he posted on the discoweb how he modeled that bumper after a rovertym. very cool, simple runner. i like it!

i'd have a taco if i didn't have a rover. i just can't get over how low to the floor the seats are though. my wheeling/camping buddy drives one, and i'm always impressed.

Out riding quads in Pinetop, AZ over Memorial Day when we came across this bonehead. 2WD full-size with all season tires. He somehow thought he could bypass a downed tree on a trail he shouldn't have been on anyway. Doesn't look that bad, but he's up to the pumpkin and wasn't going anywhere without a tow. Not sure where he thought he was going either, as the trail ahead of him looks pretty much like what's behind him here.

I call this one: Screwed!
