    Default Fly fisher people

I just found this and have already consumed almost a pot of coffee looking at it and the back issues. Great photos.

Nice find, amazing photography. Looks like this is only their 3rd issue. Brian O'Keefe is one of the founders. You can not be around fly fishing very long without seeing his work. What a dream gig, travel the world fishing while capturing phenominal images.

    Default Anyone fish WNC area?

I don't know how I missed this area so long. I used to fish upstate SC,WNC and sometimes SW VA when I lived in upstate SC. Since moving east I don't get over there very often-none this year.

How's the fishing in WNC? I am thinking of taking some time and hitting Curtis Creek, Davidson River, Yellowstone Creek, South and/or North Mills and maybe the Middle Saluda in SC. (some of my old regulars)

I think I can reach the Boone area in about the same amount of time so that's also in the mix-especially if the fishing is better. I've only fished Wilson Creek up there-any others to try?

Over here I've been hitting Bass and Crappie in the ponds with a 6'6" 6 weight my buddy just built (Eastern Rodcraft) we call it "El Diablo" due to the 6-6-6 and it's a punchy mid-flex but also light and very sensitive rod, he used micro guides instead of single foot snake guids which allows me to shoot line without having a big backcast as I am usually in heavy cover and can only roll cast or a simple sling.
