Now I understand why you have yours on a slide - http://www.expeditionportal.com/foru...381#post928381
Maybe dropping the weight of the drawers is worth it, and I like your two-shelf setup besides.

I used one of these without the drawers for many years and it worked great. Everything stayed nice and dry in the truck bed. They are heavy though. I just recently sold it at the CO swap meet.

Thanks everyone for the help and input. I saw the original post for a supplier, but I wanted to shop around and see if I could find a better deal. I love this thing and think it's great, but damn that weight pushes me away. I wanted to make it a kitchen-box, which may not be bad if I just leave it in the Jeep. Thanks again and GREAT FIND!!!

I've seen those cool medical tables in the past. They're cool but I'd like to find a used Pelican unit like these. They're pretty expensive.

Those look really cool but at $1600+ new and $1000+ surplus, they seem a pretty unrealistic option. Now if you could roll up on some unsuspecting surplus store and walk out with one for $100 you'd have something. It seems doubtful though.

Has anyone purchased the drawer system? I am interested, but would really like to know if the drawers open from both sides?

That thing is cool, but too heavy IMO.

Sorry to raise this from the dead - but pretty interested in these things. Are they really 70-80lbs though??? Even in Aluminum?
