    Default Deaver 10 Leafs...$$$$$

I am planning on going with the Deaver Springs. I looked at the Wheeler Off Road website and saw they sell 8 leaf packs for 479 a set. I inquired with them about getting 10 Leaf packs and they told me to call Deavers. I did that and they quoted me a price of 782 for them. I understand that quality costs, and I don't mine paying for it ,but 300 bucks to add 2 springs to each pack? Then I saw Wheelers has 05 Tacoma Deavers and they're 10 Leaf, I began to wonder if they would fit 01-04 since they're only 479 also....not try'n to be cheap. What has everyone else paid for their 10 Packs? Is there someone special I need to talk to at Deaver? Thanks, Tu Compa . Suty

Talk to Scott @ Deaver. Tell him the price of the Wheeler units.

You can also call Jason Demello @ Demello Off-Road. He will get you a good price.

I know some of the additional cost is related to assembly work. They make 7 and 8 leafs in bulk, but the tens are done by custom order.

    Hope this helps

I bought a custom 9-leaf Deaver pack from Wheeler's and it was 579, including new u-bolts and all the bushes. I recommend going through Wheeler's over DeMello, much better pricing and service IMHO. Make sure you still talk to Scott at Deaver whatever you decide so he can make sure you get exactly what you want.

Why 9 leaf instead of 8 or 10 and are you happy ? I guess 10 Leafs are for the extra capacity on Double Cabs? Thanks for your help....Tu Compadre, Suty

I worked out my anticipated weight, both DD and for expeditions, and talked to Scott at Deaver. For the weight I will carry and the lift I wanted, the standard 8 pack might have been too little, so we opted for the 9-pack. Ten pack was overkill for me.

Thanks Again, seems like this all revolves around Scott at Deaver...probably best to tell him my ideas and let him tell me the leafs. I will call him next week. Tu Compa, Suty
