I know in the past I have used a SpaceCase, great quality and durable product. I was wondering if anyone here is using a SpaceCase as an alternative to the Pelican / Zarges / Storm cases.

These would be great for an storage under an in-bed sleeping platform. Don't know how many I could afford at this time though.

Is there a wgt savings over the pelican or storm cases? How do they compare in wgt/cost to the zagres?
My concerns are wgt, handleability (is that a word? pelican 1 handle, zarges 2), and cost (with a higher cost acceptable if they will last years).
Stackable is nice in a rear storage setup or in camp so they don't fall over.
It would also be interesting to compare cases vs drawer system. Cases are removeable so your daily drive wgt is less...
but with drawers your stuff is always there ready to go???

they look like they are blow-molded? The Pelican/Stormcase both look much more durable and space efficient

how do they compare? these almost look like expensive Action Packers... not bagging on the Spacecase- just want to know your impressions as they don't seem to be the same market as the Stormcase

They do not look very space efficient, and that would be a big drawback to me.

I take it that they are not water proof?

Actually, they look quite practical for camping gear and such. My Pelican and Storm cases are overkill for most general purpose storage items.

AS for the handles the number varies depending on size and model. As for weight and cost comparison, that's a whole new spreadsheet!

That's my thoughts. I know I have used them for international shipping. They were used to send items of high importance due to ability to lock them and protection against the envirment (such as left on the tarmac during loading and unloading.)

They are. I don't think I would put my laptop in it and put it into a lake with a brick on top with out testing first.

They are rotomoulded similar to the TwoZone compartments. The shape allows for stacking and allows for significant weight to be added above. These are AU MilSpec and food grade units.

But they do not have an air purge valve, which they would have to have if they are water proof/air tight. They are just "Weather resistant."
