this is mine made in Korea
kind of relax chair

Those Korean Relax chairs look almost identical to my personal favorites (not counting the Roorkhees), which Coleman sells:

I'm sure there's a connection.

I bought one of these Lafuma Maxi Butterfly chairs on clearance at a local outdoor store (Next Adventure). Liked it so much I bought another a couple years later. They aren't made for heavier folks and I don't think they'd stand up to abuse, but like most Lafuma products, they are super comfy and have a small storage footprint for travel.

I just bought one of those GCI Xpress loungers from Bass Pro. Very sturdy and comfortable, but it may be a little small for large people.

I am thinking og getting a few of these from REI.
I like my Cabelas lounger I just got, but there are times too when you just want to sit instead of lounging all the way back.

I have 2 of the oz trail sun lounges, while its a unreal chair it takes up way to much room so some times i have to leave them home.

I'm in the market for some new chairs. Packed space is a priority in the back of my JK with J30 top. Let's revive this thread. Looking at a few options. What are you guys using?

6.99$ Walmart folders. Jerk wad swiped the last set right out of my roof basket. Glad I only lost 30$ not gambling more.

I've got a Kermit, an Alite Mantis, and an REI Flex Lite. The REI and Alite are the ones that usually get packed in the van.

Our camp chairs are all by Alite Designs: 2 x Bison (these are the ones we use at the meal table) and 1 x Mantis (my wife's) and 1 x Monarch (mine, and I could sit in it for hours and hours!)

I can't quite find them that cheap, but I like the director chairs. Coleman has a nice one for about $35US.

Like so much on ExPo, there are those like us that like cheap and expendable over spendy and permanent...although having had some rather nicer chairs ripped off the durability is not as high on my list of features now.

I've now given up all other chairs for the Helinox Sunset. It's not perfect, but ultimately it's better than anything else I've tried.

PROS
--Packs very small, fits in a kayak hatch, motorcycle
--Light
--Fairly comfortable
--Has head support if you have a pillow
--Not too hard to get out of (higher than the Chair One and similar styles)
--Pair it with the Helinox Table One and you've got a footrest with place for your lunch

CONS
--Wish the back were a bit wider (or maybe I need to lose a couple of lbs)
--The usual problem of the feet sinking in soft ground (solvable---I prefer whiffle balls)

$120 at Campsaver right now: http://www.campsaver.com/sunset-chair

I like all the different types shown here thanks evrryone. Question about the "lounger" type chairs....can they lock in a somewhat upright position? Mine need to do double duty for lounging by the fire but also to eat with, plate on the lap style. And I worry the lounger would make that impossible if it always "swings back" to an inclined position. Thanks!
