Default New ARB w/ reciever mod

Look what hit my door! ARB is only 9 miles from my house!

It was time to 86 my Warn brush guard and trade up for the ARB.

I love my portable Warn winch system that i have on my rig. I need to fab up a front reciever hitch for my winch setup. so...I got out the metal and went to work.

    Default More..ARB

It was time to do the end cap mod. Here is where i got my idea!

    http://www.wattora.com/index.php?page_id=13

The endcap is very important if you plan on winching off these ARBs! I have seen a ARB bumper without the mod and it looked like the bumper had moved 1/2" at times while winching.

I took a piece of 3/16" angle 3x4 and custom fitted to the frame. I drilled 1/2" holes for the bolt and tic it into place.

I drilled holes into the frame so i could weld rosebuds to give the endcap more muscle!

    Here is the finished product.

Time to mount the ARB! I found that i had to use a jack and some 6x6s to push out the mounts so i could mount it!

Here is the finished product with the receiver installed

All in all...it turned out great!...I still need to test it!...coming soon!

This coming weekend is going to be a total suspension remodel on my rig!!! I got Deaver 10 pack coming and new Donahoes!!! Keep ya post!

    Nic,

    The truck is looking great!

Nice job on the ARB/ receiver idea. First time I have seen that.

Did you also wire the rear to accept the winch?

Yeah, times 3 or 4 or whatever. Very nice Will!

Love the red Taco too. I like the idea of a portable winch with a permanent mount.

    Nice fabbin' skills!
