Blackstone River near Uxbridge, MA.

This is a canal that abuts the Blackstone River, and it was completely covered in algae.

Can't remember the name of the river, but it is off of Omega Pond and can actually be found within East Providence, RI city limits.

If we ever meet up for a kayaking trip, promise not to take me down that creek.

Despite the old school 1980s Ace helmet and Schlegel paddle, this photo of me is from the spring of 2002! This is the entrance of "The Basin" on the upper reaches of the Pemigewasset River in New Hampshire and is, without a shadow of a doubt, one of my favorite New England creeks.

At least until I learn how to do that. Looks like my kind of thing. Currently I get hung up even in mild currents.

Paddling is fun... I've never been any good at it but have had the opp to shoot Brad Ludden and was just awe struck at his mad skillz.

Nothing wrong with a Schlegel Graham, it's still my favorite creek paddle. It may be heavy but it takes a big time beating and keeps going.

When the aluminum edges finally wore through the paddle quickly started to look like the victim of a shark attack! I finally replaced it at the Moose River festival in Old Forge, NY in 2006 and took the Schlegel out for a celebratory retirement pub crawl. :friday:

A Mohawk Shaman. I'm reconfiguring the outfitting on it today to carry gear since we're doing a 3 day camping trip next weekend on the North Platte in the Shaman and Dimension.
