Default Garmin USA TOPO - Part Numbers & Price

So, since I recently ordered a 276c, I thought I would pick up Garmins USA Topo software while I was at it. But when I started shopping online I found two part numbers.

    010-10215-02
    &
    010-10215-12

The -12 version is cheaper everywhere. For example at amazon.com $67.99 vs $99.00 for the -02

So I wrote Garmin, and was pleasantly suprized to find that they are identical:

    >Thank you for your inquiry.
    >
    >Both of these part numbers include the same content which is Sub-Assy,MS >Topo 100K v3.02. Technically there is not a difference.
    >
    >Thank you and best Regards,

Just wanted to pass it on.

There has to be a difference.... I do not understand why they would have two part numbers for the exact same product?

must be packaging, like maybe one includes a data cable or something.

    Nope. No data cable.
But perhaps one is boxed and one is just shrink wrapped.
    Something like that.
    The contents are identical.

    FYI

    Got mine today from Amazon.
    The -12 version comes in a blister-pack.
With manual, CDs, and a little box.
So it was worth the savings.
