well I have lived in the USA all my life except for two years in Sweden on a church mission. I Have visited Mexico twice and one of those times was for the baja 1000, and I have done day trips to Canada twice.

I'm developing an inferiority complex from browsing this thread.
There are some seriously well travelled members here :smiley_drive:
Coming from a country where the exchange rate sucks badly, any international travel is a huge financial planning exercise

Can't think of a better part of the world to stick to if you can't get to other places. :)

I'll probably not see every part of the USA before I die, but until I do I have no need to head elsewhere. Is this a limited perspective, or an acknowledgment of a huge land mass? I don't know.

Note: I am NOT criticizing anyone's choices in any way. This is just my choice.

So true. Lots to see and explore in our own backyard, getting out and enjoying the open spaces is the most important part. :REOutCampFire03:

Lived in:
USA (many years)
Japan (7 years)
Poland (1 year)
Cyprus (3 years)

Visited at least overnight:
Canada
Mexico
Iceland
Britain
Italy
Israel
Greece
West Germany
Yugoslavia

Passed through:
East Germany (that was a hell of an experience)
Czechoslovakia

The total number depends on how you count them. Do I count East & West Germany as 1 country now? Do I count Czechoslovakia and Yugoslavia as 1 country each, or as the multiple countries they both are now?

Depending on who you talk to, I can count the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus. Most people consider it occupied territory and not a country.

There is a ton of places to visit in the USA and that's what I am concentrating on these days. Heck you might even meet some new faces along the way!

...met so many people from all over the world so close to home! Truly an amazing place. I really do not think 'most' people actually look past the major population centers, the politics, or the TV. And frankly I hope it stays that way!
