Awning Mounting question??

Hey guys, I am planning a purchase of an awning like this one.. http://www.sierraexpeditions.com/index.php?l=product_detail&p=981 I am just wondering if anyone has mounted one on a full size truck without a shell.? I have a headache rack and tool box, and I pretty much have to keep it that way. Any ideas? Could anyone send me a pic of how they mount usually, like what kind of hardware/recieving piece I may need to fabricate. Thanks so much.. :)

Here is how mine is mounted, with L shaped bars.

A few other ways, one with a bracket like mine, and this guy mounted his directly to a rack by drilling holes into the rack.

Hope this gives you some ideas on how to mount with/without a bracket.

I have a 7x10 canvas tarp that I attach to my jeep LJ roof rack (wilderness); it uses aluminum expandable poles from sportsman's warehouse, 4 guy lines, and rockbuster tent stakes.
Total cost was about 70 bucks and I got the tarp size I wanted made online.
I roll it up with the poles, guy lines, and tent stakes inside quite easily and affix it to the roof rack with bungee cords (the small ones with balls on the end works best).
If you had a contractors rack it would work well on your truck.
It's a cheap way to experiment with the awning idea.
If you got an over cab contractors rack you could probably go 10x10.
I've used it in some nasty weather and it's pretty sturdy.
