BFG is now showing them on their own site. It doesn't show up in the spec list under the KM2, but it does show up if you use the search by size (LT Metric) feature. More importantly, there's a manufacturer's part number. I'll post the part number Sears uses later on (who I ordered through.)

Just for everyone's info, the manuf. often lists the actual height of the tires. I think the actual sizes of the tires often do NOT correlate to the indicated size. For instance, per BFG's site, the 255/80/17's are 33.3" tall.

This is the standard size tire for the AEV J8 Kit. I wouldn't mind having a set for my JK.

It's called nominal sizing and is very common in the industry. MT type tires are especially prone to more variation. If it were 100% true to the size, it'd be 33.063", so they're not too far off given the tread design. A lot of times the tire is less than the stated size (esp. flotation sizes) so I'll take the extra without complaint.

Here is my Jk with its new tires, 255/80R17 BFG KM2s. They are load rated "E", so they ride a little rough if you have them higher than 30 psi. I like them.

Thank you They are smooth enough for a E rated tire and quiet. I have had them out in some very muddy trails during a rain storm and they performed great, even on steep inclines/declines. They self clean very well.

I will be going out to the Mojave Desert next weekend for a test out in the sand and rocks. I expect them to do very well. Oh, and for what it is worth, I do not air down unless I am going on loose sand, but given the strength and thickness of the sidewalls, I do not think that these tires would bulge too much. Stay tuned!

Here are a few of the grades I went up/down when they were muddy. These photos where obviously taken when it was dry. The area is RRowher Flats in LA County, by Saugus.

I've been running the 255/80/17's for about a month now. So far I like them. they seem to do real well in the one snow run I did. We had heavy rain here for two weeks straight and I never once felt them slip or lose traction. I feel they are much louder then my old BFG MT's.

Glad to hear that they have done well in snow. My old KM's were not so good in snow, and I was expecting these to behave similarly. I agree that the KM2's are good in the rain (which we have been having a lot of here in So Cal recently) Funny how we had the opposite opinion on road noise! Maybe my old KM's were noisy because I had missed a rotation and they wore a little funny. I replaced them at 46K miles when they started chunking and the tread was getting pretty low.

    Nice looking 4Runner, Fireguy!
