San Diego East County Run.... In Honor of Agent Rosas...!

Anyone Interested in a Sept. 12th East County run and coming back to the La Posta Diner for Dinner maybe by about 4:30PM for the Agent Rosas fund raiser! (so we can make sure we get a seat)...?

How can we ExPo Members raise more money for the Agent Rosas Family?

The meet up spot on Sat. morning will be at the Acorn Casino for a gas top off and any last min. supplies since they have a truckers store.

I'm thinking about a meet up time of 8:30 am. We will meet at their gas station.

Directions for the Sat. morning meet up spot.

The link above is not showing the proper location so I have included this map below. The casino is just off the I~8. You will know you are getting close when you see the very large white wind turbines. Take the Crestwood Exit.

This could be a Sat. Day trip only (bring something for lunch!), and/or even an overnight by heading back out East after Dinner, for those who would like to camp out overnight. I have a favorite place. Bring your supplies! We can actually tell the BP Agents where we will camp, so we can be safe. No worries. I will do that!

For those who want to camp Sat. night, we could do a Sunday morning loop through Anza~Borrego and out up through Julian. I may even take you down the Original 1800's Wagon Trail to San Diego if time permits. Yes, it's still there!

Just thinking out loud.

Let me know. Thanks.

For info. there is a fundraiser planned to raise money for the widow and children of Agent Rosas. It is scheduled for September 12, 2009 at the La Posta Diner (32337 Old Hwy. 80 Pine Valley CA 91962. 619-478-5600).

8AM to 11AM breakfast
12PM to 2PM luncheon
3PM to 6PM dinner

Memorial service at 3PM

Auction after memorial service, silent auction throughout the day.

I hope to share my Favorite East County San Diego view spot with you.

How rough is the run going to be? Can I drive my wifes 2wd Rodeo? :)

For the most part, this could be done.

I just recommend that you hook up with an ExPo bud that can be in front of you with a tow strap just in case. Also, at any point that you do not feel comfortable, you could park, and ride with a friend. So we don't leave you in da outback!....

I was also going to show the guys with lockers, that love a challenge, a Very steep hill climb that I would not even take the SWR on (no lockers yet).

Thanks, not really bringing wifes car but I don't want to kill my truck if it is a rock crawl. I'll check with boss (wife) and see if we can make it.

Put us down as a maybe. Most likely a day trip for us, as we are leaving for Hawaii (Big Island) the following weekend and not sure we want to plan an overnighter.

if the temps are supposed to be cool, we'll likely tag a long. No A/C yet in the wee black beastie.

EDIT: oh, and consider us daytrippers. :)
