That's great to see Rob. I was starting to wonder if my plan to put a hard top tent on a M101 was out in left feild!! My Columbus XLong was picked up in Montreal today. I called a buddy of mine and asked if he hauls out of Montreal anymore. He said one of his trucks just unloaded in St Hyacinth and wwas waiting to pick up a part load in the down town tomorrow am. His driver was sour he had to sit all afternoon, so off to pick up my tent it was:wings:

Yeah... I'm not really sure why they aren't used more. Probably because they have a big footprint, and a folding tent fits better.

thanks...

but I'm not sure what the "maze" is ?

These shots were taken in Moab.

This trail is called Porcupine 4X4 Trail and connects with the Porcupine Rim Trail.
The later is a one way trail that requires backtracking on the return.
It goes back some 14 miles, or so, and ends at a scenic view point.

we didn't take the Rim Trail back to the end...
'cause we came to wheel some other stuff...

we ran this trail just to test out the trailers abilities.

It did very well... btw :)

Jim (1speed) came up to Cedar Key to visit and this Jeep/Tear-Drop Trailer has to be the sweetest combo I've ever seen!

They've been stopping traffic all day with people stopping to take photos and ask questions!

Cool! Saw this thread and had to join!:sombrero:

I picked up my M416 a few years ago, and am slowly getting it to where I want it.

In CO, on the way to Moab:

Think we took too much with us?

Two adults, 3 boys (7,6,4), 1 girl (2) and 1 dog. This was a simple camping trip with friends at the local state park.

Finally found a few 'on the trail' shots. These were at the Iron Range OHV park, testing out the trailer.

Everything stayed where it belonged inside, and the trailer towed great.

Did discover that I need to get rid of the 2" ball hitch the PO had put on the M416, and get a lunette or other style hitch.

Finally got the trailer done. Couldn't wait to try it out. Hooked it up behind the Jetta TDI and headed to the in-laws for a party. Drove 120km/h (75mph) and got 35mpg.

Great way to travel, now I need to finish the willys
