Default Trout fishin' trip to Roscoe

Got a chance to take a few days off and get some R+R in...of course the weather sucked, as did the fishing, but at least I wasn't working!

The winds blew so hard I had to double rope things down, and tie the water jugs to the canopy! It was nice to roll up on a finished slab of concrete at the campground...the last time I was there (20+ yrs. ago), it was pretty rustic...but the severe flooding last Sept. pushed them to upgrade some spots...which worked out fine. I took the long way home over 52, through Ellenville, past the Eagles Nest...was hoping to catch some hang gliders...but no luck.

I slept inside the trailer, since the Mrs. only spent one night, I passed on the RTT, which was fine anyway, because with the wind blowing as hard as it was, I wouldv'e never slept. Outside of some finished trim in the corners, and a few coats of poly, it was a real pleasure to sleep inside, especially since every night in went into the high 20's.

    Thumbs up great pictures

Fly fishing is certainly better then working. Enjoyed your pictures a great deal. Your right. RRT's are great in weather above freezing. Heaters bring humidity and moisture ends up in your sleeping bag requiring airing out everyday. But they are high and dry. Wind is another issue entirely!

Hard to beat some R&R time next to flowing river. Looks like a nice spot and it's nice your trailer design lets you forgo the RTT and sleep inside when the weather gets rude.
