Default My new fibre glass fishing ski/kayak in the making

Hi all. Just thought I would show off some photos of my new fishing ski being built by Eric's Canoes in South Africa. It,s a new model they have just started manufacturing (not sure if there are any in the States yet) its 4.5mtrs long (15') 63cms wide (2'1") and weighs 26kgs, has a centre hatch to store rods, tackle and fish, a rear hatch, rod holders and stuff. These ski's are built for surf launches and off shore fishing. Just have to wait another month for the container ship to get here (Australia)......cant wait.

A lot different then all the rotomolded kayaks everyone fishes from around here, SoCal, with. Do you guys run bait tanks on those at all?

    Looks sweet and fast!

That's no good. No good at all. Just send it to me and I'll get rid of it for you...no charge at all.

Thats why I had to import one from South Africa, all the plastic kayaks here are like barges, OK for Bass but I like something a little sleeker in the surf.
The hatch behind the seat can be plumbed up to be a bait tank, but most just take out a collapsible bucket with a little aerator pump and just sit it on the deck. Easier to get at your bait. The centre hatch goes right to the bow and can fit a 7' rod.
Stealth is another brand from South Africa who are make longer slimmer fishing Ski's.

7wt thanks for the offer but I dont think so.

And if you want a really fast fishing ski, check out this one 18' long 22" wide and weighs 20kgs......note that there is a centre hatch and a single rod holder.
