Default Mission trip to Mexico mountains south of Monterrey

    Hey Guys and Gals,
I have recived PM's asking about this annual trip. I meet off road members from clubs in Monterry for a mission to take donations to villages not accessible by normal vehicles.
If interested we will head into the mountains on Sat December 12th. We can work around schedule to get there and can obviously head back when we want / need to.
I will try and supply specifics to anyone interested. This is not only a good adventure but we do some good

I am very sorry and apologize for not responding and or posting. I have been tied up and traveling a bit. I will reply to PM's and emails hopefully this weekend.

I just need to be in Monterrey on or before the 5th... longish trip for me so I will try and arrive on 4th to rest a bit before heading to mountains.

This year will be smaller trip but still necessary. They are planning a larger trip in April for "Day of the Child" Looks like only 6 or 7 trucks from Monterrey this December trip.

We will stay in the mountains and visit villages until we run out of donations.

Then depending on time we visit and play in places like Real Del Catorce http://realdecatorce.net/ The return trip always depends on attendee's schedules.

I am sorry to say but this December trip is smallish because of the visits the members have made already this summer.

Please fell free to email me as I get them on my phone. Roger at edoctec dot net

What villages (or close ones) are they planning to visit? I just returned from a moto trip to that part of the world, and have been wanting to bring my wife down, this may be the time to do it.

Though, that statement makes it sound like it may be unsafe, to not go with a group. It REALLY is safe to travel to the mountains near Monterrey, whether you go in a group or not. Gas is readily available, the people are friendly, and you do not have the drug issues found in other parts of the country. There, people are there to live. Whether farmers, ranchers, or work in the villages.

It doesnt take much for folks to smile. I brought the kids a soccer ball. I had talked with them earlier this year on another trip and decided I would bring them a small gift. In return the Abuela gave me about 6 apples, wouldnt let me pay for them any way or how. This is in the town of Mimbres. between Cienga del Toro and Galeana. Its in a quaint little valley where they still plow the rocky fields with mule drawn plows!
