Nice G-Wagon for sale
A guy down the street is selling a 1980 G-wagon that i've been eyeing everytime i drive past it. Well it has a for sale sign on it now so i stopped in and talked to him.
He wants $13k for it. He bought it in 2006 for $17k.
Details: It was imported in 1982 by AMG back when they were in Santa Ana CA. It was first registered in 1985. He has all paper work from the original owner, including the importation papers ( i saw all of it).
Heres the interesting part. It has a diesel motor swap. He put in a 300D Sedan turbo diesel. I had him fire it up and it sounded fine. He has sedan motor mounts in it so the motor shakes a little at idle.
The truck has 66k on it. He has all the previous paperwork to prove it and the odometer shows 66. The engine has somewhere around 128k on it. Im remembering all of this off the top of my head.
There interior is in good shape. It has lockers and they work. There's a small bit of rust at the back left corner bottom. But nothing too gnarly.
