Thumbs up Blackberry with Panbrak Mount..FJCruiser

I thought I would share this with everyone...even tho I am using it for my BB, this mount or set up can be used with just about any application...portable GPS, IPod, IPhone, BB, etc....the apps seem endless...

I came up with the idea from another friend who had a similar mount in the same location but he was using it for his mic on the cobra 75...I needed something for my BB when im driving more than just the 1.5 mi from work so i dont have to dig for it in my pocket book...

i picked up the BB holder from www.crackberry.com
and found a suitable mount at the link - panbrak - Custom FJ radio mount.

the Panbrak mount comes in 2 pieces...1st piece attaches at the phillips screw under the bezel...i choose to mount it on the left side of the radio...for my eye sight its a perfect location...the 2nd piece attaches to the first piece and has mulitple holes on it for mounting the BB holder...I had to drill out 2 of the holes on the BB holder to make the fit...after some test fitting, I decided the tab that attaches at the bevel needed a little grinding with the dremel to make it nice and flush...the tab where the phillips screw attached the mounting bracket to the console was a litte to wide....that was all that was necessary to make everything look well...
now i have something to hold the phone on long trips and trail runs...

    here are some pics:

the BB holder is held on to the Panbrak mount with 4 small screws/washers/nuts
the 2 pieces of the Panbrak mount are held together with 2 acorn nuts..

btw....there is another company...Panavise..that makes other mounts for other vehicles...very similar in design...

    Those are great brackets.
I installed one on my FJ Cruiser shortly after getting it.
I used it for the iPod for awhile until I relocated it to the glovebox.
Now I am using it for my ham radios remote head.
I took of the vice part of it though, and I am just using the steel bracket which has holes that align up perfectly for the ham unit.
