    Default Road to Dakar

Anyone seen Charlie Boorman (from The long way round) quest in the Dakar, it's on local TV here, so far it's been quite good (4 part deries) they are back on BMWs again too.

I don't know about Canada, but many of us here in the US won't get Charlie's show for quite some time....I'll likely order the DVD from Amazon UK....

I've heard really good things about it!

It started playing on OLN here in Canada a few weeks ago. I have a few recorded that I haven't watched yet. From the bit I saw of the first episode it looks like good fun.

I also ordered the book from chapters.ca - still waiting to receive it.

Got it a couple of days ago and have watched all of it. Really entertaining DVD. While Charlie may not be the best rider, he would make a great commintator for the race. Now if we could get the pinheads to show a daily recap of the race. Also, they could show the WRC year in review on new years day. Use to get up early to watch all the races of the year. Now its F*ckin nascar S%it. Pricks.

I ended up ordering the Race to Dakar from Amazon.co.uk, and havent' quite gotten through the whole thing yet (my wife and I have been watching after the little one goes to sleep!)

I have to say...WOW, what a race! I was a big fan of LWR, and this is just as fun...except there's more kick butt motorcycling!

I had to order from UK also. I do have a clip on the website video page that is kind of an intro for Charlie.

You guys should try ordering from Amazon.ca next time. Mine was at my door in a couple days, and was shipped from a warehouse in Mississauga which is just outside Toronto.

I looked on Amazon Canada, and only found private sellers who wanted about $150 US for the hardcover book and DVD....I figured $50 US was a better deal, shipped from the UK....

Maybe I wasn't lookin' in the right place.

Hmmm, I just checked and it says they are currently out of stock on that item. I wonder if I got the last one. Cost me $24 CDN, feeling kinda lucky now.
