We should start a group on www.couchsurfing.com. I have been a member for a while now and have had nothing but good experiences. The site provides worldwide opportunities for the traveling person/ people and has several safe guards to prevent unsavory characters. You can search for Jay Smith in Sevierville Tn if you would like an idea of what its all about. BTW: I am not employed by this site and my only affiliation with them is my being on there.
I would love to see more people on the site and am always willing to host friendly, laid back people during their stay in the Smokies.

Cedar Key is a little off the main road, but worth the extra mileage if you're heading to either sections of the state North or South

Just to give full disclosure, Cindy and I are managing a 5 room motel that has 5 RV slots with full hook-ups. I'd be happy to put up anyone passing through for free on our couch for one night to help out or help if you need anything with a broke down vehicle. We have rooms of all types and can give discounts for EXPO members if you want to stay longer

If wanting to stay in your own vehicle in the campground, we can always work something out but if you say you're an EXPO member and just passing through for one night, the camping spot is on us.

We have hot showers and bathrooms for the campground, so if you're just passing through and need those, they're available too

Got small shop (big enough for motorcycle) air compressor, stick welder etc. Brevard is the gateway to key outdoor activities....mtb biking, climbing, fishing etc. Wheeling is not too far away and the Tail of the Dragon is close too.
