    Your jeep looks really sharp, I love the look of Krawlers on a jeep. I was going to ask for detailed shots on the roll cage and if it was a kit or a custom job, but you beat me to it. It looks really sharp. Was it built off the stock cage or was it a complete ground up build?

    Why did you go with C02 opposed to an OBA kit?

    Since you lost the rear seat, adding a set of these storage boxes will keep all your little stuff locked up and within easy reach. Recovery gear, winch remote, first aid kit, rags, etc are all easily accessed from the outside of the jeep....just unzip the window (no need to remove it), open the lid and there it is.

    Thanks for the compliments guys. The stock cage was removed and we started over fresh. I went with co2 because I was ignorant. I wanted less moving parts to fail. I had the chance to be one of the first non-comp guys to get this setup (The Jet-pack), so I did. I have an extra bottle in case one runs empty while out (I have not run both tanks empty yet. I have however thought one was filled and it was not). I can also fill the jet pack tanks from the larger one, although I haven't done it yet.

    I thought I would be doing mainly rockcrawling. Well you can only deal with the b.s. for so long. Now the idea of extended overland trips away from the crowds seems to be the path I'm headed down.

    I will be adding an oba setup in the future. I just have to decide if I want it vehicle mounted or removable from rig to rig. It's just one less thing to worry about (The need to have your tanks filled before you head out). Also one consideration, the cost to fill the 15lb tank is around $35.00-40.00 in reno. It started out at $15.00 and they did it while you waited. Now, you have to leave your tank overnight, which is another source of worry.

    Let me know if you have any other questions or want specific photo's. I will gladly tell you what I would do differently and where I feel I made mistakes, in order to help you.

    Ha, you tease! Who makes them? I didn't know these were available for our rides. Very cool. How tall are they? I wonder if they would fit with my cage and rear passenger grab handles? In one of the pics you can see the beginning of the rear grab handle.

    You're not alone. A number of us started out bouncing off of rocks...and some still do on occasion (myself included)....but there is just something about a nice relaxing week down in Baja that you just can't get while dragging your jeep over house sized rocks.

    They are one-off....I started adding a rail on each side to use as a tie-down point for my gear....and things got out of hand. Those are the result. I have no "plans" per-sey...but can provide detail photo's and dimensions if someone wants to reproduce them. Realistically, the volumes would be to low to reproduce them profitably unless you had all the right equipment (which I don't...) and the logistics end already set up (I don't).

    Default CO2 tanks

    I guess we are lucky here in Tucson. It runs $5.42 to refill a 10lb and $6.53 for a 20lb CO2. It helps having a bottling company local. Takes 5 minutes.
    I have ran a converted a-c compressor OBA system for years on a YJ and wrote an article on how to convert that was posted on AzVJC.org. (Look in the tech section near the end.) It was very handy and it out performed most everything. Now I drive a blown TJ and have little room under the hood for a compressor so I went to a 20lb tank. It makes life simple to refill my trailer tires or someone else with a portable tank. I am sure there are multiple trade-offs though.
    Liked your pictures. Don't you find 37" tires somewhat expensive to run up and down the highway? Interesting choices. You have done allot to organize your space. I certainly like the frig and tank set at the rear of the Jeep, making it very assessible.
