    One of our favorite areas to explore. Looks like you had a great trip. I love Cedar Mesa with covering of snow, but it can limit your options for canyon hiking. The way down to Moon House involves some steep slickrock, which may have been challenging with the snow.

    That's what I thought but there really wasn't much information if any at all on how to access the ruins. My only guess is that you need to hike around western side of canyon until you can cross over but that's only a guess.

    I diffently want to go back there to explore that area.

    Actually, the way down starts right near where you were. You head down into the canyon from the south rim near where the spur road ends, and then up the north side of the canyon to the ruin. There are a few cairns marking the route - probably under the snow when you were there.

    Ya, I didn't see any chains. Plus, that little creek crossing down below didn't look like it would be fun right now.

    Fantstic! I am headed down there Saturday for a little camp/explore trip.

    I am happy to see the valley has little snow-we are going to camp in Valley of the Gods.
