RRT on a small trailer options?

Hello, looking around at a search for RTT I couldn't find a lot of info on trailer mounted units. My specific questions are, is a trailer mounted unit the same model as a vehicle mounted unit with a shorter ladder? Can I purchase a regular unit or does it need to say spefically "trailer mount"? I have 3 round tube yaxima crossbars on my trailer that it will need to mount to. Any suggestions on which one to get, approx. price, and how many people will it sleep? Thanks in advance! Jason

There are some trailer specific tents i.e The Globetrotter see http://www.adventuretrailers.com/globetrotter.html

T-Tops don't work too well on trailers, they have a horizontal bar that would catch you in the chest every time :) see http://www.adventuretrailers.com/rooftent.html lower part of the page for the general description.

The rest of the Series 3 tents work fine on trailers and vehicles, all you need is 2 or 3 cross bars, depending on the width of the tent, to support the load.

If you have specific questions shoot me an e mail martyn at adventuretrailers dot com

One thing to bear in mind is that trailer suspensions are a lot tougher on a RTT than vehicle suspensions. This is exacerbated my towing lightly loaded. The pounding can be very tough on some parts - hinges, for example.

Just sayin'

Another good reason for a good trailer suspension that I hadn't even thought about it :)
