ARB Fridge question

Mine is off during the winter, but come spring it is on full time until fall.
There are those small trickle chargers, something like that might help if your vehicle is off, but I am not sure.

Check with Martyn at Adventure Trailers on that.

I have let my fridge run over a holiday weekend while I stayed home.
It ran for close to five days with the rig going nowhere, and it fired up just fine when it was time to go to work.
That was probably pushing the stock battery though.

No condensation in my rig and I run mine 24/7. I do have fridge mounted on a slider and it has air circulation around the vents, don't know if thats a factor or not.

not happy...

I have the bag more for protection.. to be honest .. the velcro it comes with is junk and won't stick to the plastic on the front edges. I've cleaned it replaced it some other velcro and still won't stick, I'm looking for some high quality from 3m right now to fix the problem.. or some silicone RTV.

Just a little insight to what I've experienced

I wish I would have seen this before I bought the transit bag. I have the exact same issue...the velcro won't stick to the fridge, even after cleaning the surface with alcohol.

For those who are having problems with the Velcro sticking, contact ARB. I got mine a few weeks ago and had the same problem. Sent ARB an email and got this response:

first please accept our apologies for the problems you've had with your transit bag. Apparently the Velcro required requires a special type adhesive to bond properly with the fridge body and some bag kits did not have the correct type. We've ordered in replacement kits from Australia and hope to have them in the next 10-14 days. If you can provide your address and phone number I will have the required Velcro kit shipped to you when they arrive.

That was sent on the 19th, so they should be in soon.

Thanks for the info. I sent them an e-mail; we'll see what they say.

I got one of the first new Generation ARB with a transit bag and the velcro on mine has been fine from day 1.

I think the newer ones already have the new velcro.

ARB replied back to me and said they will get the new velcro out to me as soon as they get it in.

So if I buy a fridge and transit bag any time soon, I'll probably still get the velcro with inferior adhesive, huh?

Maybe, but I have NEVER had ARB USA fail me on gear they sell. They always do their best to stand behind their products and their vendors.

I thought it was all about prep - a little over 2 weeks ago I cleaned the fridge with water and then rubbing ETOH where the velcro was to go. Took the fridge out of the back of my truck yesterday and none of the velcro is sticking. I'll give them a call tomorrow and see what they say.

Talked to ARB USA this morning and they stated that there was a bad batch of adhesive on some of the VELCRO on the transit bags. As soon as ARB AUS sends them the replacement material they will be sending it on to me.

Way to go ARB - integrity and customer service is still alive.

I have been noticing large amounts of moisture/condensation underneath my weathertech cargo liner around where my fridge is. The bottom of the liner and the carpet get wet enough that I can see droplets. Has anyone else experienced this or know a solution?

There is a lot of moisture in the air from the ocean and it will condense inside the fridge where it is cooler but not anywhere on the outside. Check to see if your drain plug is letting the water drip out.

PS: did you decide to mount your solar panel? I did find the Yakima mounts that I used to use.
