Golden Age and Golden Access Passports Changes 2010

This may be of interest to some of you if you are pass holders. The US Forest Service has announced plans to reduce from 50% to 10% the discount it offers to holders of lifetime Senior and Access (permanent disability) passes at National Forest campgrounds. The change will apply at campgrounds operated by private concessioners, which represent 50% of National Forest camping capacity and 82% of reservable campsites. The USFS is accepting comments about this proposal until 2/1/2010.

Not cool but understandable in our current economy...
the cuts have to come somewhere and we always say the gov should reduce spending.

Of course I will comment against it as with the increase in aging population and increase in young wounded coming back from war we have a great need to these things...but again the cuts have to come somewhere.
