Dig the green, it looks great on your rig!
Have fun with it.

I am thinking of camping before to long, but it will probably be Memorial Day weekend before I get out the first time this year.

Maggiolina Extreme Forest. We have special ordered a few for customers in the USA. Identical to the standard Extreme except for the color. Looks great mounted on your green Jeep.

Airland XL

I am new to this site. Here is My 06 Liberty CRD with the Maggoilina Airland (Small Extra Long). Not the best picture, but hope to have better in the future.

My 06 Rubi with her Maggie!:victory:

What awning do you have mounted to the side? I am looking to get one of the Fiamma awnings - F35 Pro 2.5m. I have looked also at the F45Ti 2.2m and Eagle 66 which both are much more expensive than the F35.

Any input on awnings would be great.

Trying to get an awning which is friendly with the Thule cross bars that hold the Airland to the factory roof rails.

Now that i have some miles and camping trips under my belt i have noticed two issues with the Airland. The seal between the top and bottom lets dust in when driving. I think there is another thread which addresses this to some extent. The second issue is the outside has become very dull and chalky - indicative of oxidation in the gelcoat. I have washed and waxed it on many occasions, but over time it really looses its luster and gets very dull and chalky.

I just picked up some 3M Marine Restorer and Wax - 09005. It looks like it does a good job of getting the finish back to about 50% to 75% of the original gloss. It is quite a bit of elbow grease though. I am going to pick up a buffing pad for the drill to help speed up the process. Has anyone else experienced this with the gel coat? What did you do?

That will work, but you are right, it is a lot of work. I would recommend switching to 3M's Fiberglass Restorer, works great on gelcoat has a bit more bite.

I have a year old Carbon Fiber Columbus and it is a gray, lives on the roof outside and looks like new, haven't even had to wax it yet. Today we had the first sunny day in a month, maybe it is all that Arizona sunlight beating up your finish. I know my friend in San Diego had to wax his about every six months.

I see you are in AZ, so you get a lot more sun than I do.
Up here in the PNW I just wax my tent once a year with Meguiars Marine Wax using my Porter Cable orbital, and it has worked out good.

Tent is filthy now with the snow we had earlier, but once I wash it, it will look new again, and even better after the wax goes on.

After two years and a half dozen coats of meguires I thought it would have held up better. I do keep it most of the time garaged, so the sun isn't as much an issue.

I wil finish off with the 3m stuff this weekend which should suffice.

On a different note, I found a website which sells adhesive back flexible solar panels for golf carts. This might help as a protective (expensive) layer for the gel coat :)

Also I posted before about any experience withe the change room. I was going to order one but wanted to make sure my trailer was completed first to 100% confirm height from the ground. With that being said wanted to see if there were any new experiences out there with the change room.
