Thanks Don, it has been fun fixing it up for overland/camping travel while also being my daily driver to get me to work.

Looking forward to your pictures.
Also areas to camp where you live too.

Question:
Where the heck do you put your shoes/jacked after you climbed up there? In dry weather I can see taking those items inside with you. But what if it rains?
How do you get inside without getting everything wet?

I'm used to camping in a tent and know how difficult it can be to keep the sleeping bag dry and clean. But how does it work in a roof top tent?

Just wondering...

Nice 80 Mike.

Last year a guy on an FJ Cruiser forum I am a member of came up with an idea that works in the Maggiolina tents.
It is a shelf you can buy at Lowes and modify it a bit to work.

I will come up with something later, but it works for now.

As far as rain getting in, for the brief time I have my door open to get in, I hardly get any on the bed.
Not enough to worry about.

All the newer Maggiolina and Columbus models have an elastic cargo net across the ceiling at the foot end of the tent. These will keep clothes and other bulky items up out of the way, but near to hand.

I will have to look at how it is attached. It might be able to attach to your tent.

Did you get the replacement screens?

M
Thanks Mike, if they will work, I will order them.

Oh yes, I meant to shoot you an email on the screens, they arrived Fed Ex I think a week or more back.

When we get some better weather I will open up the tent to replace the left side.

Elephant, the fine bug mesh you can unzip from the canvas to replace them which makes it nice if you get a hole or tear in one of them.

Somehow it got a nice 3" tear across horizontally.
It may have been the way I packed it away, as I use to put it away with the windows rolled up (not zipped down though, you will never get the air pushed out all the way).
The correct way is to leave them unzipped and just lay them in when cranking the top down.
After the tent is setup, then you can roll up the canvas and screens together to have the doors open.
